Agricultural Solicitor - Malton

Sacco Mann is proud to be working with a well-established and respected regional law firm seeking an experienced Agricultural Solicitor to join their specialist team.

The Role

As an agricultural solicitor you’ll manage a wide range of agricultural matters, including Farm Business Tenancies, Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies, and Grazing Licences. The role also covers the sale and purchase of agricultural property and businesses, acting for lenders on security and funding, and advising on development agreements such as options, easements, and overage arrangements.

You’ll also contribute to the firm’s growth by supporting marketing and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling a very varied agricultural property caseload
  • Acting for lenders on security and funding arrangements
  • Drafting and negotiating development agreements, including options, easements, and overage clauses
  • Building and maintaining trusted client relationships to encourage repeat work.
  • Managing caseloads effectively using case management and time recording systems

About you

The successful candidate will bring:

  • 3+ years’ PQE with solid experience in agricultural law
  • Strong technical knowledge of tenancy, property, and rural development matters
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with rural and farming clients
  • A proactive, organised approach with strong problem-solving ability
