Catastrophic Injury Solicitor | Leeds | 2+ PQE | Hybrid Working - Leeds

We are delighted to be supporting a leading national law firm in the search for a talented Catastrophic Injury Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join their highly respected Large Loss team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-value defendant personal injury matters in the market, including catastrophic injury and multi-million-pound claims.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload while supporting partners on highly complex and sensitive large loss files. Work will span motor, employers’ liability, public liability, and product liability matters, often involving brain, spinal and amputation injuries, as well as substantial fatality and dependency claims.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing a caseload of catastrophic and high-value personal injury claims
  • Assisting in initial case investigations and preparing reports and strategy updates
  • Reviewing and analysing medical and factual evidence
  • Liaising with insurers, solicitors, police, HSE, experts and witnesses
  • Instructing experts and gathering evidence to support technical case strategy.
  • Attending court hearings, conferences and JSMs as required

About you

Our Client is looking for a motivated solicitor with a strong grounding in defendant personal injury work and a genuine interest in developing expertise in complex large loss claims.

You will ideally bring:

  • 2+ PQE as a solicitor
  • Strong experience managing a defendant PI caseload (Motor and/or EL/PL preferred)
  • Interest in progressing into large loss work – previous catastrophic experience is welcome but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Confidence working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Solid knowledge of CPR and litigation procedure

Please note our advertisements use PQE and salary level purely as a guide. We are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
