The Opportunity
A growing and well-regarded law firm is looking for a driven Civil Litigation Solicitor to join its expanding disputes team based in Burnley. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, offering exposure to a wide range of matters and clear progression opportunities within a collaborative environment.
Duties of the role
- Manage your own caseload of civil disputes from start to finish including contracts, debt recovery, property litigation, shareholder disputes, contentious probate and healthcare related claims
- Advise clients on strategy, risk, and costs
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, and court documents
- Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, and trial
- Attend court and settlement discussions where required
- Support junior colleagues and contribute to team development
- Build strong client relationships
- Get involved in business development and profile-raising
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with up to 6 years PQE
- Experience managing your own litigation caseload
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Commercially aware with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Confident communicator with excellent client care skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
