Sacco Mann Recruitment is proud to be working with a respected and progressive law firm seeking an experienced Associate to join their well-established Clinical Negligence team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with a keen interest in healthcare law to contribute to a team handling complex defendant claims, particularly for NHS Resolution. Based out of any of the firm's regional offices, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality legal services and supporting healthcare inquest and advisory work.
The Role
As an Associate in the Clinical Negligence team, you will conduct clinical negligence claims on behalf of defendant clients, with a particular focus on NHS Resolution. You’ll manage your own caseload, support high-value and complex claims, and work closely with colleagues to ensure exceptional client service. Additionally, you may be involved in healthcare inquests and advisory engagements. Your responsibilities will include legal research, strategic claim management, delegation of tasks to junior team members, and business development activities, including seminars and training sessions. You will also provide secondment support to key clients both remotely and on-site, all within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering exceptional client service through proactive and strategic management of claims
- Managing your own caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, supporting complex and high-value cases
- Delegating tasks and supervising junior fee earners where appropriate
- Providing responsive secondment support to key clients
- Undertaking legal research into relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and directives
- Participating in business development initiatives including seminars and training sessions, both online and in person
About you
- Experience in clinical negligence law, either defendant, claimant, or personal injury cases
- Familiarity with IT applications such as Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Enthusiastic team player with proactive, results-driven mindset
- Keen to develop the business and take on responsibility
