The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial litigation solicitor to join a highly regarded Corporate & Commercial Litigation team, acting on some of the most complex and high-profile disputes in the UK. The work is varied and challenging, ranging from infrastructure and PFI matters to procurement challenges, construction disputes, and wider commercial claims.

 You’ll manage your own caseload of significant disputes, take responsibility for litigation strategy and ADR, and build strong client relationships across healthcare, local government, emergency services and social housing sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Work on a varied caseload of commercial disputes, including PFI/projects & infrastructure, procurement challenges, construction issues and wider contractual claims.
  • Prepare persuasive pleadings, correspondence and advice; develop litigation and ADR strategy.
  • Manage client relationships, and coordinate external counsel and expert witnesses.
  • Work collaboratively within the Leeds team while operating independently when required.
  • Contribute to practice development by building internal/external relationships and supporting business growth.

About you

  • Ideally 3+ years PQE in Commercial Litigation law.
  • Excellent drafting skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Confident managing clients, external counsel and experts.
  • Organised, proactive and able to prioritise to meet deadlines.
