Commercial Property Paralegal - Manchester

We are working with a well-regarded firm with a strong presence across the North West, who are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Paralegal to join their Preston office. Working as part of a dynamic and supportive commercial property team, you’ll play a key role in both fee-earning and administrative aspects of property transactions, supporting the team in delivering high-quality service to a wide-ranging client base.

As a Commercial Property Paralegal, you will:

  • Open, manage, and close client matters in line with compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure files (both physical and electronic) are accurately maintained and updated.
  • Support the drafting of legal documents and correspondence under supervision.
  • Attend and minute meetings and prepare attendance notes.
  • Liaise directly with clients and third parties to assist with queries and progress matters.
  • Handle billing processes and liaise with the financial team.
  • Undertake legal research and contribute to blogs or legal updates.
  • Provide administrative support, including land registry downloads, search requests, and file housekeeping.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience as a paralegal in commercial or residential property.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, or Practical Law.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive, client-focused attitude with a keen eye for detail.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commercially aware and eager to contribute to the team’s success.
