Commercial Property Solicitor | West Midlands | 5+ PQE | Hybrid

The Opportunity

A well-regarded local law firm in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join its established and highly respected real estate team.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role within a busy department that supports a strong local client base, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, property investors, developers, and landlords.

The role offers exposure to a wide range of commercial property work and the support of a knowledgeable, friendly team committed to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion.
  • Act for SMEs, OMBs, landlords, tenants, developers, and investors across the region.
  • Handle acquisitions and disposals, leases (grant, renewal, assignment, surrender), refinancing matters, and portfolio management.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review contracts, leases, reports on title, and related documents.
  • Provide clear, practical, and commercially focused advice to a varied client base.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, helping to grow and develop the department’s profile.
  • Support junior members of the team and contribute to business development initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in commercial property.
  • Strong technical expertise across a broad range of real estate matters.
  • Experience working with SME and OMB clients is highly desirable.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with a practical, solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and efficiently.
  • Strong client care ethos and the ability to foster long-term relationships.
  • A collaborative team player committed to contributing to a supportive working environment.
