Commercial Property Solicitor – Reading (Hybrid Working)
A highly regarded commercial property team in Reading is looking to recruit a Commercial Property Solicitor to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected team advising a broad and high-quality client base.
The team acts for investors, developers, banks, occupiers, local authorities and charities, delivering strategic advice across a wide range of commercial property matters. The firm offers hybrid working, typically with three flexible days in the office, alongside a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting and leading on a variety of commercial property transactions, including secured lending work.
Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting and/or taking full responsibility for transactions, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, leases, licences, transfers and deeds

Undertaking due diligence, including reviewing and reporting on title, raising enquiries and reviewing searches

Liaising with clients, lenders and lawyers on the other side of transactions

Obtaining quotes for indemnity insurance policies and liaising with brokers and underwriters

Conducting legal research where required

Attending client meetings

Participating in business development activities and networking events
About You

Qualified Solicitor with experience in commercial property
-
Secured lending experience is essential

Strong drafting, negotiation and organisational skills

Confident managing client relationships and working collaboratively within a team

Commercially minded with an interest in contributing to business development
