The Role
- Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters from instruction to conclusion
- Advising clients on divorce, separation, and financial remedy matters
- Handling private children matters, including Child Arrangements Orders
- Drafting legal documents, court applications, and consent orders
- Representing clients at hearings, negotiations, and mediations
- Providing clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the Family department

Key Responsibilities
- Running a private family caseload independently
- Managing divorce and financial remedy proceedings
- Advising on private children matters and related disputes
- Preparing court documentation, statements, and bundles
- Conducting negotiations and representing clients at hearings
- Maintaining high standards of client care and compliance
- Achieving fee-earning targets and contributing to departmental performance
- Building and maintaining professional relationships
About You
The ideal candidate will be proactive, client-focused, and ready to make an impact. You will have:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE in Family Law
- Proven experience handling private family matters independently
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently
- Commercial awareness and commitment to achieving targets
- A collaborative and positive team-focused attitude
