Commercial Real Estate Paralegal (£30-35K DOE)
West End, London
Hybrid working – 1 day WFH
A top-ranked West End law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its highly regarded property team. This role would suit a paralegal with circa 12 months’ prior experience who is looking to gain hands-on exposure to high-quality commercial property work within a leading firm. There is a genuine opportunity for a training contract after 12 months for the right candidate.
The role
You will provide comprehensive paralegal and administrative support on live commercial real estate transactions, working closely with fee earners across the department.
Key responsibilities will include:

Carrying out legal research
-
Managing Land Registry applications, including AP1s, CH2, FR1s, UN1–UN4, RX1–RX4 and AN1s

Obtaining Land Registry documentation, including OCEs, OS1s, OS2s, K17s and historical title documents

Preparing and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax forms
-
Ordering appropriate property searches without fee earner direction for standard matters
-
Liaising directly with third parties to obtain legal documentation
-
Accessing and reviewing data rooms issued by other solicitors

Liaising with mortgage lenders via telephone, email and online portals (including LMS and Lender Exchange)

Assisting with drafting and collating Reports on Title

Supporting execution of documents via DocuSign

Managing post-completion matters through to file closure

Drafting deeds schedules and documents from precedent templates, including development documentation in line with the Heads of Terms

Assisting with financial statements, completion statements, redemptions and further advances

Drafting finance and security documents based on templates
-
Providing day-to-day support on active live matters

Reporting regularly to the department’s Paralegal Manager on tasks in hand
Requirements:

Circa 12 months’ experience in a commercial real estate / property paralegal role
-
A minimum 2:1 degree (law or equivalent)

LPC completed
-
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced transactional environment

A proactive and professional approach
