The Client

Sacco Mann is delighted to be working alongside a global leader in the delivery of sustainable solutions in engineering and technical services,  across sectors crucially linked to future global sustainability such as water, energy, food and drink, infrastructure, urban development, mining and waste.

 

The group has a substantial legal team and is now seeking an infrastructure/construction lawyer to provide in-house legal support with a particular focus on the water, energy and transport sector.

 

 

The role

This is a preferably a full time role offering hybrid working, from the office and home where you’ll be primarily working for the largest business within the group, which helps clients across the globe efficiently and effectively collect, store, move and treat water and wastewater, plan and manage watersheds and harness the energy embedded in the treatment and movement of water

 

You’ll work with some incredible people developing intelligent solutions using their award-winning integrated planning and design approach to deliver functional infrastructure and lasting environmental and social legacies.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer with a good grounding in infrastructure and/or construction work who has the acumen to deal with a varied workload and understands the importance of commerciality in their legal advice.

 

 

Responsibilities;

To provide vital day to day support to our group businesses, primarily to one of our larger businesses, reporting directly to the Senior Legal Counsel. 

To act as the main point of contact to one of our larger group businesses, providing high quality guidance and legal advice on a spectrum of matters, with a specific focus on infrastructure and construction within the water, energy and transport sectors.

To draft, negotiate, review and advise on construction contracts (including NEC/FIDIC/JCT), major framework agreements, and joint ventures in respect of a wide array of large-scale projects, including international projects (with a focus on Southeast Asia).

To draft, negotiate, review and advise on ancillary documentation including parent company guarantees, performance bonds and collateral warranties etc.

 

 

The Person

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years PQE
  • Infrastructure / construction experience, preferably in the water, energy and transport sectors
  • International project experience desirable
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage heavy caseload of complex matters, work to tight deadlines and demonstrable experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role

This is a hybrid role which will require the individual to work x3 days on site, which is within an easy commute from Cheshire West, Chester and Merseyside.
