Contentious Construction Solicitor – Central London
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Contentious Construction Solicitor to join a highly regarded firm in Central London. This is a fantastic chance to work with an international client base on high-quality disputes, whilst enjoying the benefits of hybrid working. The firm is looking for someone around 2–7+ years’ PQE with strong contentious construction experience and a real enthusiasm for resolving complex disputes.
The Role
You’ll be advising on and handling a broad range of construction disputes, including litigation, arbitration, adjudication, and mediation. You will act for an impressive portfolio of clients, including developers, funders, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors across the UK and Europe. The role offers the chance to work on high-value, often cross-border disputes alongside leading partners in the field.
Key Responsibilities

Acting on construction and engineering disputes across litigation, arbitration, adjudication, and mediation

Advising clients on risk management and dispute avoidance strategies

Working closely with developers, funders, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors on complex matters

Drafting and preparing pleadings, witness statements, and expert reports

Managing your own caseload while assisting senior lawyers on larger disputes

Developing strong, long-term client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
About You

2–7+ years’ PQE as a Construction Solicitor with a focus on contentious work

Solid experience in handling disputes through litigation, arbitration, adjudication, or mediation

Strong technical knowledge of construction law and dispute resolution processes

Excellent communication, drafting, and client management skills

A proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
