Our client, a leading private practice, is offering the opportunity for a strong Contentious Construction Solicitor to join their Tier 1 team on a fully remote basis.

The Role

This role offers relatively unique flexibility in working arrangements, allowing candidates to work remotely or from the firm’s office according to their preference.

The successful candidate will play a vital role within the construction team, advising a diverse client base including developers, contractors, consultants, insurers, and funders on complex construction disputes across the UK. The role encompasses a wide range of contentious work such as adjudication, arbitration, litigation, and mediation, providing an engaging and challenging environment.

You will work closely with partners, provide strategic legal advice, prepare pleadings, and represent clients in court, arbitration, and other dispute resolution forums.

They are looking for:

  • 2-5 years PQE in contentious construction or related dispute resolution areas
  • Experience advising on construction contracts and supporting documentation.
  • Proven ability to analyse factual and legal evidence in dispute scenarios.
  • Strong advocacy skills, with experience representing clients in courts and tribunals.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible working approach, with the ability to adapt between remote and office work environments.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures across jurisdictions including Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and motivated to deliver excellent client service.
