Corporate Solicitor

The Opportunity

A leading national firm is looking to recruit a Corporate Solicitor (4–7 PQE) to join its highly successful Birmingham-based corporate team. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on high-value, often newsworthy transactions in a collaborative and well-supported environment.

The team advises a broad range of clients including high-net-worth individuals, business founders and private equity funds — including several US-based investors. Deal values typically range from £5 million to £100 million+, offering consistent exposure to complex, high-profile work across multiple sectors.

This is an excellent role for a technically strong, ambitious lawyer looking to develop within a high-performing yet friendly and down-to-earth team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, disposals, private equity investments and restructurings.

  • Acting for high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and UK and international private equity funds.

  • Leading on mid-market transactions and supporting partners on large, complex deals.

  • Managing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

  • Working closely with colleagues across the corporate, tax, banking and commercial teams to deliver joined-up client service.

  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified solicitor with 4–7 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate law.

  • Strong transactional experience and strong technical skills,

  • Confident leading on transactions and managing client relationships.

  • Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills.

  • A team player who thrives in a supportive, collaborative environment.

  • Ambitious, commercially minded and keen to take on increasing responsibility.

What’s on offer

  • Exposure to high-value, often high-profile transactions across a variety of sectors.

  • Opportunity to act for market-leading clients including founders and major private equity funds.

  • Excellent career development and progression prospects within a growing national firm.

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

  • A supportive, inclusive and genuinely people-focused culture.
