The Opportunity

One of the UKs leading law firm is seeking to add an additional Corporate Associate to its market leading team in Birmingham. This is a phenomenal opportunity to work on high-value, often cross-border transactions for major UK and international clients, within a team recognised for the quality and complexity of its work.

The practice handles a wide range of corporate matters — from mid-market M&A through to headline deals valued in the hundreds of millions. You’ll be part of a collaborative, well-supported environment that offers both technical challenge and genuine career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments and reorganisations.
  • Acting for a diverse client base including corporates, investors, founders and international groups.
  • Leading on mid-market transactions and supporting partners on complex, high-value deals.
  • Drafting and negotiating key corporate documents such as SPAs, shareholder agreements and investment documentation.
  • Managing and developing client relationships, contributing to business development initiatives.
  • Working closely with colleagues across banking, tax, commercial and real estate teams to deliver seamless client service.

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified solicitor with around 2–5 years’ PQE in corporate law.
  • Strong experience advising on M&A transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills.
  • A client-focused approach.
  • Commercially minded and able to build lasting relationships.
