A leading healthcare litigation team is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its growing practice in Newcastle, acting on behalf of NHS resolution and other healthcare clients in clinical negligence claims and inquests.
As a Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitor, your role will include:
- Defence of clinical negligence claims and representation at inquests.
- Handling complex, high-value and sensitive matters within the healthcare sector.
- Direct client contact and involvement in business development activity.
- Working closely with leading practitioners in a top-ranked healthcare team.
The team are consistently ranked Tier 1 for Defendant Clinical Negligence, and advises NHS resolution, NHS trusts, insurers, hospitals and practitioners. They have expertise across:
- Clinical Negligence and medical malpractice.
- Inquests and judicial reviews.
- Medical insurance coverage.
- Health law and regulatory matters.
Required Experience:
- UK qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer.
- Around 4+ years PQE (this is a guideline and applications with more or less experience are encouraged).
- Experience in medical malpractice/clinical negligence claims.
- Comfortable with client contact and business development.
- Knowledge of insurance and coverage issues.
