EL/PL Fraud Lawyer | 5+ Years' PQE | Hybrid Working |

A top-tier firm is seeking a skilled EL/PL Fraud Lawyer looking to take on more complex and strategic work. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a market-leading national practice handling some of the most high-profile casualty fraud cases in the UK, based in their Manchester office.

You will work on a diverse portfolio of claims, primarily casualty but also property, travel, and first-party fraud, while leading investigations into suspected fraudulent activity and developing robust defence strategies. You will be collaborating with a highly respected team of fraud specialists who are known for shaping counter-fraud strategy across the insurance industry.

As an EL/PL Fraud Lawyer, you will:

  • Lead investigations into complex, high-value, and organised fraud claims.
  • Analyse evidence, develop litigation strategies, and prepare detailed case reports.
  • Work closely with insurers, corporates, and other stakeholders to achieve efficient, high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with forensic experts, industry bodies, and regulators to strengthen fraud detection and prevention.
  • Handle both pre-litigation and litigated matters across EL/PL/OL and related sectors.

What we are looking for:

  • Around 5+ years PQE in fraud or liability defence work.
  • Strong track record in handling EL/PL/OL claims.
  • Confident litigator with experience up to multi-track level.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.

The benefits

You will be joining a firm that truly invests in its people, offering professional growth, flexibility, and a culture that values collaboration and innovation. Employee benefits include:

  • Hybrid working.
  • Discretionary annual bonus.
  • 25 days holiday.
  • Private medical insurance and life assurance.
  • Pension scheme with employer contributions.
  • Enhanced parental leave and wellbeing support.
  • Professional development and leadership programmes.
