Employment Senior Associate
The Role
A leading West Midlands firm is looking to appoint a senior employment lawyer into its Birmingham office. This is a pivotal hire within a small, well-regarded team, offering both high-quality work and a clear progression route. With succession planning in mind, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on leadership of the team within the next five years.
The practice advises a broad mix of employer clients, from major corporates to owner-managed and family businesses, and is involved in both standalone employment work and corporate support.
What you’ll be doing

Advising employers on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment issues.

Handling matters such as contracts, policies, dismissals, grievances, discrimination claims and TUPE.

Providing support to the corporate team on employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions and restructurings.

Managing your own caseload while helping to supervise and mentor junior colleagues.

Building and developing long-term client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

Senior employment lawyer with strong experience advising employer clients.

Confident handling both tribunal litigation and advisory work.

Skilled at providing pragmatic, commercial solutions to clients.
