The Opportunity

A leading national law firm is seeking a motivated Employment Solicitor (1+ years’ PQE) to join its established Employment team in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative national practice advising major employers on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You’ll work across diverse sectors, supporting household-name commercial organisations, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and large private sector employers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising employers on a broad range of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
  • Managing Employment Tribunal matters with appropriate supervision.
  • Supporting clients across multiple sectors including commercial, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and education.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment documentation and advisory materials.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Contributing to business development, client training, and profile raising initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues on complex and multi-disciplinary matters.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 year’s PQE in employment law (private practice or in-house).
  • Strong technical knowledge and excellent drafting skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong client-handling abilities.
  • Commercially minded with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Proactive, well-organised, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • A genuine team player who enjoys collaboration and shared success.
  • Enthusiastic about developing client relationships and contributing to business growth.
