Employment Solicitor within thriving team | 2-5 yrs pqe | Leeds Cirt Centre 

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our client's dynamic Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity for a 2-5 PQE lawyer specialising in respondent employment work, both contentious and non-contentious. The role offers the chance to work within a supportive, collegiate environment and develop your legal expertise further. The position is based in Leeds city centre and offers hybrid working.  The sector and nature of the clients that they work with are broad, giving outstanding diversity at the earlier stages of your career, on the one hand, being able to work with local companies, with little or no HR offer, on the other, vast international entities where you would interface with sophisticated HR teams.

Responsibilities

  • Take on a broad-ranging caseload of both contentious and advisory matters
  • Supporting senior team members on more significant projects and cases
  • Managing tribunal caseloads and undertaking advocacy at hearings, PHRs, and CMDs where appropriate
  • Researching, drafting, and offering practical solutions to client issues
  • Attending meetings and negotiations with clients and third parties
  • Assisting in business development efforts, including network building and delivering training sessions
  • Supervising and delegating work to trainees, paralegals, and legal secretaries
  • Keeping up to date with legal developments through journals and reports

Requirements

  • 2-5 years post-qualified experience in employment law case work, particularly respondent work
  • A collegiate approach to work, this environment suits team players - both within and across teams
  • Drive and creativity- they like people to be brave and happy to have a go, with the right support behind them, of course  
  • Flexibility and adaptability in approach and style
  • A genuine passion for Employment Law
