About the Opportunity
A well-regarded national law firm is looking to strengthen its Birmingham Employment team with the appointment of an Employment Solicitor (3–8 PQE).
The team advises employer clients across both private and public sectors, including health, local government, housing, education and commercial organisations. You will be part of a collaborative national practice, with a strong and growing presence in Birmingham.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload covering both contentious and advisory employment matters, including:
• Conducting Employment Tribunal litigation from start to finish
• Advising on disciplinaries, grievances and workplace investigations
• Supporting clients through restructures and redundancy exercises
• Providing TUPE advice in outsourcing and transactional scenarios
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies and settlement agreements
• Working alongside corporate and commercial colleagues on cross-practice matters
There will also be scope to support junior team members and contribute to client development activity.
About You
You will be a qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3–8 years’ PQE in employment law.
The firm is seeking:
• Strong experience across contentious and non-contentious employment work
• Confident tribunal litigation skills
• TUPE and transactional exposure
• A commercial and pragmatic approach
• The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
