This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Lawyer to develop their career within a respected firm, handling a varied caseload of both respondent and claimant matters.
The Role
- Managing a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Advising both employers and employees on a wide range of workplace issues
- Handling Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to resolution
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
- Negotiating settlement agreements and exit arrangements
- Supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters where required
- Providing clear, practical, and commercially focused legal advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Key Responsibilities
- Managing an employment law caseload appropriate to your level of experience
- Advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Handling Employment Tribunal claims and procedures
- Drafting legal documentation, including contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
- Supporting senior team members on complex cases
- Maintaining high standards of client care and communication
- Ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements
- Meeting deadlines and contributing to team performance
About You
The ideal candidate will be proactive, commercially aware, and eager to develop their career. You will have:
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in Employment Law (including during training)
- Exposure to both claimant and respondent work (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with appropriate supervision
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach
- A client-focused and commercially aware mindset
- A collaborative and positive team attitude
