The Role
- Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters from instruction to conclusion
- Advising clients on complex divorce and financial remedy matters
- Handling private children matters, including more sensitive and high-value cases
- Drafting legal documents, court applications, and consent orders
- Representing clients at hearings, negotiations, and mediations
- Providing clear, strategic, and empathetic legal advice
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate
- Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the Family department

Key Responsibilities
- Running your own caseload of family law matters independently
- Managing complex divorce and financial proceedings
- Advising on private children matters and related disputes
- Preparing court documentation, statements, and bundles
- Conducting negotiations and representing clients at hearings
- Maintaining high standards of client care and compliance
- Achieving fee-earning targets and contributing to departmental performance
- Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to team development
About You
The ideal candidate will be experienced, proactive, and ready to take on a senior role. You will have:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in Family Law
- Proven experience handling complex private family matters independently
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload efficiently
- Commercial awareness and commitment to achieving targets
- Experience or willingness to support and mentor junior team members
- A collaborative and positive team-focused attitude
