About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a specialist Industrial Disease team based in Birmingham. The role sits within a defendant-focused practice, acting for insurers and major corporate clients on complex industrial disease litigation.
A core part of the team’s work is noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) claims, and this experience is essential for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting solicitors on a caseload of industrial disease claims, with a focus on NIHL
- Reviewing and analysing medical evidence, audiology reports and disclosure
- Drafting correspondence, pleadings and procedural documents
- Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and third parties
- Assisting with case strategy, deadlines and trial preparation
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Previous experience as a paralegal handling noise induced hearing loss claims
- A good understanding of industrial disease litigation procedures
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage tasks independently while working as part of a team
- A professional and proactive approach to client service
