Industrial Disease Supervisor | Bolton | Hybrid Working
We are working with a leading insurance firm based in Bolton who are seeking a technically experienced Supervisor to lead and develop a specialist team handling Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims. This role combines technical leadership, supervision, and mentoring with hands-on case handling in a complex and highly regulated area of litigation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving technical excellence, quality outcomes, and team development, while maintaining a reduced personal caseload of NIHL matters.
As an Industrial Disease Supervisor, you will:
- Provide day-to-day supervision, technical guidance, and training to team members.
- Ensure compliance with internal benchmarks and client requirements, driving settlement and high-quality delivery.
- Identify learning needs and implement development plans to support progression and authority levels within the team.
- Maintain clear and effective communication across the team.
- Assist with the review and resolution of clients complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead or contribute to projects and process improvements to enhance operational practices and address client-specific issues.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience handling disease claims, specifically NIHL.
- Authority to provide technical sign off on litigated NIHL matters.
- Strong technical knowledge across all stages of the disease litigation process.
- Experience leading or contributing to the delivery of team or project outcomes within a legal environment.
- A demonstrable ability to coach, mentor, and develop others through structured learning and performance improvement,
- Excellent listening, verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills.
