The role
There now exists an opportunity for a UK qualified solicitor with experience of non-contentious construction law, to work within the integral In-house legal team; Day to day responsibilities will include;
- Providing sound and timely legal and commercial advice to mitigate commercial and contractual risks on the company’s global portfolio of projects.
- Reviewing, reporting on, negotiating and finalising a wide range of contractual documentation (including but not limited to consultancy appointments and sub-consultancy agreements, collateral warranties, novation agreements, letters of intent).
- Advising the business to ensure that the company’s governance policies are adhered to in contract negotiations and assisting to make a case for any deviations to the governance policies where necessary.
- Assisting the business in the proper operation and administration of its contracts and legal framework.
The person
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years PQE gained in construction or projects law, ideally non-contentious, along with demonstrable experience in general commercial law. Keen problem solving skills are essential, as is a commercial mindset and ability to communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders.
