Sacco Mann is currently supporting a UK-headquartered global engineering business that designs and manufactures highly technical products critical to organisations operating in Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage, Power Generation, and Water & Wastewater sectors worldwide.
With a significant international footprint and a reputation for engineering excellence, the business operates across multiple jurisdictions and markets. The UK Legal function provides a group-wide legal service and now has a new opportunity based at its UK headquarters in South Yorkshire.
For a junior solicitor contemplating their first move in-house, this represents a rare opportunity to join an established global organisation and gain exposure to international work from the outset of your in-house career.
The Role
Reporting into the Global Head of Legal, you will become an integral member of a collaborative and commercially engaged legal team. The role offers exposure to a genuinely broad spectrum of responsibilities, including commercial, corporate, compliance, commercial property and dispute resolution matters — all within a multi-jurisdictional, cross-functional environment.
Day to day, you will:
- Review, draft, interpret, amend and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, buy-back, extraction, procurement and development agreements, deeds and bespoke commercial arrangements.
- Prepare, review and negotiate NDAs and confidentiality agreements.
- Support tender processes and procurement activities, working closely with operational stakeholders.

You will also:
- Advise on compliance, risk and regulatory matters.
- Provide guidance on IP issues, including patents, confidentiality and copyright.
- Support GDPR compliance and broader legal risk frameworks.
- Provide operational support to the business, including maintaining and updating legal precedents and templates.
The role is primarily office-based at the South Yorkshire HQ (four days per week on site), allowing you to build strong relationships across the organisation, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
The Person
You will be a UK qualified solicitor with 1–4 years’ PQE.
This opportunity would suit someone who:
- Has strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Is confident providing practical, commercially focused advice.
- Has a solid understanding of compliance, GDPR and legal risk frameworks.
- Can manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively.
Crucially, you may be at a stage in your career where you are:
- Curious about how legal advice operates within a global organisation.
- Seeking broader exposure beyond a purely private practice environment.
- Looking for your first in-house move with genuine international scope.
Prior in-house experience is not required. Commercial awareness, sound judgement and the confidence to engage directly with stakeholders will be key
