What’s Your Role

A pivotal role, within a talented team, you’ll safeguard technological advancements that drive this pioneering business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications
  • Manage and respond to Office Actions from the EPO, WIPO, and other jurisdictions in collaboration with external counsel
  • Take ownership of patent families currently under prosecution
  • Review patent disclosures from R&D teams
  • Support Freedom to Operate (FTO) efforts as needed
  • Identify new opportunities to secure IP protection across the business

The Skills You Need:

  • Part-Qualified European or UK Chartered Patent Attorney
  • Proven experience drafting patent applications in physics, computing related technologies,
  • Those with experience in areas such as data generation, processing, image processing, AI, and control systems will be considered advantageous
  • Strong experience in prosecuting patent applications with commercial relevance
  • Excellent at commercialising technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build good working relationships, both internally and externally
  • An eagerness to apply IP knowledge in a fast-paced, commercial in-house environment
  • An organised, pragmatic team-player
