What’s Your Role
A pivotal role, within a talented team, you’ll safeguard technological advancements that drive this pioneering business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications
- Manage and respond to Office Actions from the EPO, WIPO, and other jurisdictions in collaboration with external counsel
- Take ownership of patent families currently under prosecution
- Review patent disclosures from R&D teams
- Support Freedom to Operate (FTO) efforts as needed
- Identify new opportunities to secure IP protection across the business
The Skills You Need:
- Part-Qualified European or UK Chartered Patent Attorney
- Proven experience drafting patent applications in physics, computing related technologies,
- Those with experience in areas such as data generation, processing, image processing, AI, and control systems will be considered advantageous
- Strong experience in prosecuting patent applications with commercial relevance
- Excellent at commercialising technology
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build good working relationships, both internally and externally
- An eagerness to apply IP knowledge in a fast-paced, commercial in-house environment
- An organised, pragmatic team-player
