The Opportunity

An exceptionally highly regarded law firm is seeking a Insolvency Solicitor to join their highly regarded Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within one of the region’s most respected specialist insolvency and restructuring practices.

The firm is well known for acting on some of the most interesting and complex insolvency cases in the Midlands. You’ll be part of a close-knit and supportive team, working directly with experienced partners on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising insolvency practitioners, directors, creditors and individuals on all aspects of insolvency and restructuring.
  • Assisting with contentious matters including antecedent transactions, director disqualification and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Supporting on corporate and personal insolvency matters from initial advice through to resolution.
  • Conducting legal research, drafting correspondence and preparing court documents.
  • Building relationships with clients and colleagues and contributing to the team’s ongoing business development activities.

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified solicitor, ideally with NQ–2 years’ PQE, in insolvency or litigation.
  • Genuine interest in insolvency and restructuring work.
  • Strong drafting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn.
