Are you a Litigation Solicitor with 1–4 years PQE looking to join a growing, dynamic team in Newcastle? We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Housing Litigation Solicitor to join this national practice in their office in Newcastle.
About the Role:
Working within the social housing team, this role will be to specialise in delivering high-quality legal services defending housing disrepair claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of social housing litigation matters, primarily defending disrepair claims
- Supervise junior paralegals in pre-action disrepair claims
- Work closely with local authorities and housing providers
- Support wider business development initiatives to strengthen client relationships.
Key Skills:
- 1–4 years PQE in litigation (experience in social housing litigation or housing disrepair claims preferred but not essential). Consideration will also be given to candidates with defendant disease, or EL/PL experience looking for a new challenge.
- Familiarity with the Civil Procedure Rules and volume litigation.
- Strong case management, advocacy, negotiation, and legal research skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines.
- Strong communication skills
- Commercial awareness of factors relevant to volume defendant litigation.
