Our client is a renowned international law firm with an outstanding reputation for delivering comprehensive legal services across multiple sectors. They are now seeking a skilled Litigator to join their Leeds office.
The firm’s highly respected Professional and Commercial Risk team is highly ranked within the directories and operates across a broad range of disciplines.
The Role
This role will be to focus Directors’ and Officers’ matters.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a solicitor with over 2 years PQE and a background in Professional Indemnity and insurance law, particularly within financial lines policies.
The successful candidate will handle complex and stimulating caseloads focused on advising on insurance coverage and defending claims against directors, officers, and insured companies.
They are looking for someone to work with leading insurer clients, collaborate with specialists across the firm, and maintain high standards of technical and client service. The role demands a proactive attitude, sharp legal acumen, and a strong client-focused approach, with opportunities for business development and career progression within a nationally recognised, tiered-ranked team.
In summary they are looking for someone :
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE, ideally gained within a specialist insurance firm or in-house at a financial line insurer
- Experience advising on insurance coverage under financial lines policies, including D&O/Management Liability
- Strong client handling and relationship management skills, with confidence in dealing directly with clients and insurer counterparts.
- Proven ability to deliver clear, detailed legal advice on complex coverage issues.
- Commercial and client-focused mindset; able to adapt legal expertise to practical business needs.
- Experience on secondment with a financial line’s insurer is advantageous.
- A positive, flexible attitude toward new initiatives
