About the Role
A leading international law firm is seeking a Motor Injury Supervisor to join its expanding Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced defendant personal injury lawyer to step into a leadership role within a nationally recognised motor claims practice.
The team handles a high volume of pre-litigated and litigated motor injury matters on behalf of major insurer clients. In addition to maintaining technical excellence, the team adopts a strategic and commercially focused approach to claims management. This role combines hands-on file supervision with people management and client engagement responsibilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Supervising and managing a team handling pre-litigated and litigated motor injury claims
• Providing technical guidance on liability, quantum and tactical decision-making
• Delivering induction and ongoing training to team members
• Conducting performance reviews, probation assessments and absence management
• Ensuring compliance with client SLAs, KPIs and internal protocols
• Allocating work effectively across the team to maximise efficiency and profitability
• Managing risk, complaints and escalated issues in collaboration with senior leadership
• Acting as a key point of contact for insurer clients
• Maintaining a reduced caseload of motor injury matters
About You
This role would suit a qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with strong experience in defendant motor injury litigation and a desire to take on supervisory responsibility.
You will have:
• Demonstrable experience handling motor injury and/or credit hire claims
• Strong technical knowledge of personal injury litigation and the CPR
• Previous supervisory, mentoring or team leadership experience
• A track record of working to performance metrics and client service standards
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Commercial awareness and sound judgement
• Confident communication skills and the ability to motivate and support others
