Are you an experienced Patent Administrator seeking a dynamic role in the West Midlands? Our client an impressive IP practice is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their collegiate team.
You will support fee earners by managing formalities related to patent, design, and trademark filings across UK, European, International, and PCT applications. Your responsibilities will include preparing documentation, maintaining case records, liaising with IP offices and overseas agents, handling client correspondence, monitoring deadlines, and assisting with billing and administrative tasks.
Ideally, you’ll have a few years’ experience in Patent Formalities along with:
- Strong attention to detail and high organisational skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently, prioritise, and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and a personable, approachable manner
- Able to learn new systems and procedures quickly
- Experience working within an IP, legal, or professional services environment is preferred
- Certifications such as CIPA Introductory Certificate in Patent Administration (IPAC) and/or CITMA Paralegal Course are desirable
