Patent Information Assistant

On offer is a superb opportunity to join the collegiate patents team of a global organisation who have a newly created role for a Patent Information Assistant.

If you possess strong administrative and data management skills with an interest in intellectual property and would relish working within a fast-paced, professional environment, then this role should not be overlooked.

You will support the management, coordination, and accuracy of patent information, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure patent data is maintained accurately and efficiently, helping to support our wider patent strategy and business objectives.

Day to Day Duties

  • Entering and updating information on the patent database systems
  • Helping ensure records are accurate, organised, and up to date
  • Supporting the team with administrative tasks such as preparing reports and documents
  • Assisting with tracking patent filings, deadlines, and related information
  • Helping analyse data and prepare reports using Excel
  • Supporting communication with internal teams and external partners
  • Assisting with general coordination and organisational tasks

Skills and Experience

  • 1–2 years’ experience in an administrative, data entry, or similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience working in a legal, intellectual property, or corporate environment
  • Experience working with databases or information management systems
  • Interest in intellectual property or patents
