About the Role

We are working with a leading international law firm that is looking to appoint a Personal Injury Solicitor to join its Birmingham office, specialising in motor-related injury claims. This role sits within a well-established defendant practice acting for major insurers and corporate clients on a broad range of motor injury matters.

You will handle technically interesting work within a structured and supportive team, with exposure to complex and high-value claims. The firm offers a progressive working environment, combining high-quality work with a strong focus on development and long-term career progression.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a caseload of defendant motor injury claims from inception to resolution
• Handling RTA, EL/PL motor-related injury matters, including litigated cases
• Reviewing medical evidence and liability positions
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and correspondence
• Liaising with insurer clients, experts, counsel and third parties
• Advising clients on strategy, quantum and settlement
• Supporting junior team members where appropriate

About You

This role would suit a solicitor who enjoys defendant personal injury work and is looking to develop specialist expertise within an international firm.

You will likely have:

• Experience handling defendant motor-related personal injury claims
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation process
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to claims handling
• The ability to manage deadlines and priorities effectively
• Confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders

Experience acting solely for defendants is preferred, but strong candidates with relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
