About the role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Partner to join a well-regarded, full-service law firm located in Chester. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and developing the firm’s Private Client offering, working closely with colleagues across the partnership.
This role would suit a senior private client lawyer with a strong technical background, proven leadership capability, and a desire to contribute strategically to the growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-quality Private Client practice, delivering exceptional service to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families
- Advise on complex private client matters, including Wills and estate planning, Trust creation and administration, Inheritance tax and succession planning, Lifetime gifts and asset protection, Court of Protection and elderly client matters
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser
- Generate new work through business development, networking, and referral relationships
- Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the department and wider firm
- Mentor, supervise, and develop junior lawyers and support staff
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across other practice areas, including corporate, property, and family
About You
- 7+ years PQE within Private Client law
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of private client matters
- Demonstrable experience of managing client relationships and complex files independently
- Proven or emerging business development capability
- Strong leadership, people management, and mentoring skills
- Commercially minded with an interest in contributing to firm-wide strategy
