This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Private Client Lawyer to take a key role within a highly regarded department, offering high-quality work, strong client relationships, and genuine progression to Partnership level.
The Role
- Managing a complex and high-value caseload of private client matters
- Advising clients on wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate matters
- Handling inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation strategies
- Managing the administration of estates, including taxable estates
- Providing advice on trusts and trust administration
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
- Playing a key role in the strategic growth and development of the department
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families

Key Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse private client caseload independently
- Advising on complex estate planning and inheritance tax matters
- Drafting wills, trusts, and related legal documentation
- Overseeing estate administration matters
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
- Building and maintaining client relationships and referrer networks
- Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
- Supporting the achievement of departmental and firm-wide objectives
About You
The ideal candidate will be experienced, commercially aware, and ready to take on a senior leadership role. You will have:
- Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in Private Client law
- Experience operating at Senior Associate or Partner level (or ready to step up)
- Strong technical expertise in wills, trusts, and estate planning
- Experience handling high-value and complex estates
- Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships
- Leadership experience or the desire to mentor and develop junior team members
- Strong commercial awareness and business development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A proactive and strategic mindset
- Commitment to delivering high standards of client care
