Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Private Client Lawyer to join a firm known for its high-quality, client-focused services and strong local reputation.

The Role

• Managing a varied caseload of private client matters from instruction through to completion
• Advising clients on wills, probate, and estate administration
• Handling Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
• Providing inheritance tax and estate planning advice
• Drafting wills, trusts, and related legal documentation
• Supporting clients with sensitive matters in a professional and empathetic manner
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
• Contributing to the continued growth and success of the Private Client department

Key Responsibilities

• Running a private client caseload independently
• Managing probate and estate administration matters
• Drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
• Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning strategies
• Maintaining high standards of client care and communication
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Building and maintaining professional relationships
• Achieving fee-earning targets and contributing to team performance

About You

The ideal candidate will be organised, client-focused, and ready to make an impact. You will have:

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in Private Client work
• Proven experience handling a full private client caseload independently
• Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, and estate planning
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with clients
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters
• Commercial awareness and commitment to achieving targets
• A collaborative and positive team attitude
