Our client is seeking a Permanent Probate Fee Earner to work fully remotely within their expanding team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced paralegals with a strong background in private client work to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, develop client relationships, and handle all aspects of probate and estate administration independently. You will be instrumental in developing the department’s capabilities, ensuring efficient and accurate legal processes, and contributing to the company’s ongoing growth. Key Responsibilities
- Manage an independent caseload of probate and estate administration cases
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication
- Review and approve estate accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Draft, collate, and summarise supporting legal and financial documentation
- Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to inform advice and procedures
- Collaborate with team members, providing guidance and mentorship to paralegals
- Correspond with solicitors, courts, LR, OPG, and third-party organisations as required
- Handle routine and complex enquiries professionally and promptly, resolving any client concerns efficiently
About You
The ideal candidate will be proactive, client-focused, and capable of managing complex cases independently. You will have:
- At least 4 years PQE as a Probate Fee Earner with extensive estate administration experience
- Demonstrable experience in running a probate caseload from start to finish
- Confidence in drafting legal documents, statements, and making decisions independently
- Experience in conveyancing, property sales, and estate management
- Proficiency in using case management systems accurately and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle high-value and complex cases
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism
