A leading law firm is seeking a skilled Legal Director to join its Property Damage team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior lawyer to take ownership of a varied and technically interesting caseload, while playing a key role in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the continued growth and efficiency of the practice.
As a Property Damage Legal Director, you will:
- Manage a caseload of property damage related insurance claims.
- Understand client requirements and deliver work in line with SLAs.
- Analyse risk and exercise sound commercial judgement to justify decisions internally and to clients.
- Prioritise work effectively to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Contribute to the wider practice by developing workflows and managing cases appropriate to level of expertise.
- Build strong internal and external relationships to support business development and client needs.
- Act as a key point of contact and mentor for junior members of the team.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ PQE with a strong interest in property damage work.
- Experience handling insurance-related property claims, including third-party property damage, product liability, policy coverage and subrogated recoveries.
- Strong technical knowledge and interest in commercial insurance matters.
- A proven ability to deliver high-quality work to strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to a range of stakeholders.
- A self-motivated approach, with the ability to coach, support and develop junior team members.
