We are currently working with a reputable law firm based in Leeds City Centre, which is recruiting a proactive Paralegal to join its Housing Management and Property Litigation team. You will work alongside experienced employees in housing and property litigation, and the role offers future professional growth and development, which will suit a paralegal looking to build a long-term career in property and litigation.
The Role
You will support fee earners and assist with a variety of legal proceedings involving social housing, private landlords, and leaseholders. You will be involved in drafting pleadings, managing case deadlines, preparing trial bundles, and occasionally attending court to support Barristers and fee earners.
About You
- Previous experience in Property Litigation or Housing Law is desirable, but not essential
- Law Degree
- Solid drafting skills and ability to prepare pleadings and witness statements
- Ability to conduct legal research effectively
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain legal matters in plain English
- Good attention to detail and methodical approach to work
- Strong customer service ethic, empathetic with clients
- Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple priorities
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a supportive team player
