Our client is seeking a driven and commercially-minded solicitor to join their reputable Cambridge Real Estate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to work closely with experienced partners on a diverse range of commercial property matters. The Role

  • Support partners and senior lawyers in handling a broad spectrum of commercial property work, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and property management.
  • Assist with property due diligence, lease negotiations, and property management issues such as easements, renewals, and licences.
  • Engage in property investment transactions for both buyers and sellers, acting on behalf of clients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to cross-office projects within a collaborative National Service Line, working alongside colleagues across different teams.
  • Provide high-quality legal support to a prestigious and diverse client base, ensuring excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with property investment acquisitions and disposals, acting for both buyers and sellers.
  • Handle landlord and tenant matters, including the grant of new leases and lease negotiations.
  • Support property due diligence for real estate finance and corporate transactions.
  • Manage general property management work such as surrenders, licences, easements, and lease renewals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across teams to deliver exceptional client service and support firm-wide projects.

About You

  • The ideal candidate will be newly qualified to 2 years PQE with experience in commercial property law.
  • A solid academic background with a relevant degree or qualification.
  • Strong technical skills and excellent written English, especially in drafting legal documents.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and client-focused attitude.
  • Experience in property management and development is desirable but not essential.
