Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Risk & Compliance Solicitor to join their team in Leeds. This role offers a hybrid working model, promoting flexibility with a mix of office presence and remote working. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Risk & Compliance division, supporting the development and maintenance of effective risk management and compliance standards across the firm. The role involves working closely with various legal and business service divisions, managing claims, advising on compliance issues, and contributing to firm-wide risk projects. It is ideal for a solicitor with a background in risk and compliance, or a solicitor looking to move into the area if they have claims handling experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Detailed knowledge of the SRA Handbook and SRA Code of Conduct
- Experience in handling complex law firm compliance issues, claims, and professional indemnity insurance
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholder relationships effectively
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver training on governance and risk issues
- Experience advising on complaints from clients and third parties, and working on firmwide risk projects
