The Opportunity

A leading national firm is looking to recruit a Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join its Birmingham-based commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-value matters for major clients across the UK and internationally.

The role will focus on sophisticated supply chain arrangements, including warehousing, logistics, outsourcing and manufacturing contracts. Much of the work is cross-border in nature, offering exposure to multi-jurisdictional projects and international clients. You’ll take a leading role on matters, supervise junior lawyers and play an active part in developing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, particularly across supply chain, logistics, outsourcing and manufacturing.

  • Leading on complex and cross-border commercial projects.

  • Advising clients on risk management, regulatory issues and contractual structures.

  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers within the team.

  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with key clients.

  • Playing an active role in business development, marketing and client initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified solicitor with in excess of 7 years PQE solid experience in commercial contracts work.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics or outsourcing arrangements.

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.

  • Confident leading transactions and supervising junior colleagues.

  • Enthusiastic about client development and expanding the firm’s commercial offering.

  • Commercially minded, proactive and collaborative in approach.
