An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health Advisory Solicitor or Inquest Lawyer to join a leading national law firm in their highly regarded Health Advisory and Litigation team. This Associate-level role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, client-facing healthcare work and is looking to take their career to the next level.
The Role
Working as part of a Tier 1 recognised Health and Social Care team, you will manage your own caseload of Inquest and Court of Protection (Health & Welfare) matters, acting for a range of NHS Trusts, local authorities, and independent healthcare providers.
Your work will involve:

Conducting advocacy at inquests and hearings

Advising on health and social care legal issues including safeguarding, mental health, and information governance

Supporting broader advisory and judicial review matters

Supervising junior team members and delivering client training sessions

Participating in business development and client relationship management
About You
We’re looking for a motivated and pragmatic Solicitor or Associate with a strong background in Inquest law or Court of Protection work. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Experience in Court of Protection (Health and Welfare or Serious Medical Treatment) and/or Inquest work

Strong advocacy and case management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

A good understanding of NHS and social care frameworks
