Clinical Negligence Solicitor | 5+ PQE | Leeds | 

Sacco Mann is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor for a 12-month fixed-term role based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, with the flexibility of hybrid working. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded medical negligence department specialising in high-value cases involving brain and spinal cord injuries, birth injuries, amputation, and other serious trauma cases. This is an extremely prestigious team, working within one of the country's most prominent litigation firms. 

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of PQE and a proven track record in handling complex clinical negligence claims, demonstrating strong litigation, client communication, and case management skills. Your responsibilities will include managing all stages of litigation, liaising with experts and Counsel, drafting reports and statements, and representing clients at court proceedings. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with seriously injured clients and their families. You will work closely with senior staff, providing support, supervision, and contributing to business development initiatives within the department.

  • Minimum of 5+ years PQE in clinical / medical negligence litigation
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales with a current practising certificate
  • Experience handling high-value, complex clinical negligence cases, ideally involving catastrophic injury claims
  • Strong litigation skills, including instructing experts, preparing reports, and representing clients in court
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support and advise clients sensitively
  • Knowledge of recent case law and legal procedures relevant to clinical negligence
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team, supervising junior colleagues where applicable
