The Client
Are you a junior construction solicitor looking to take your career in-house with a forward-thinking, collaborative business at the heart of major UK infrastructure and development projects?
Sacco Mann is working with the UK division of one of Europe’s most respected and innovative design, engineering, and environmental consultancies. With a presence across the country and a team of over 22,000 professionals across the UK and Europe, this organisation offers the chance to be part of complex, high-impact work that shapes the built environment.
The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join their highly regarded, friendly in-house legal team based in Leeds (on a hybrid basis), where you’ll gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment and develop your skills in a commercially focused role.
Reporting into the Head of Legal and Company Secretary of the UK region, you’ll work closely with the business to review a range of professional service contracts; drafting and negotiating amendments to reflect the group’s governance and appetite for risk whilst facilitating business transactions - communicating effectively with a range of internal and external partners, across all sectors.
Day to day you’ll be expected to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external partners, across all sectors, to ensure compliance issues are understood and effectively risk managed as well as providing technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist in mentoring and development of others.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 2 years UK PQE in construction law - engineering consultancy sector experience would be useful but not essential, as would exposure to a range of bespoke contracts and standard industry forms (e.g NEC). A natural communicator, you’ll be a client focused, commercially aware advisor with a solutions-oriented approach and mindset with a strong team focus.
The Benefits
This role is offered on a hybrid basis (3+2) and has an interesting and challenging caseload along with a competitive salary and benefits package. Those candidates interested should contact steve.shakespeare@saccomann.com or call his DL 0113 467 9789 for a confidential conversation
