We’re working with a leading regional law firm renowned for delivering pragmatic, commercially focused legal solutions to both individuals and businesses. The firm is now seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join their Dispute Resolution team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive and client-focused litigator to take ownership of a varied caseload, work on high-quality disputes, and play a key role in developing long-term client relationships within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
The Role
You’ll manage a diverse range of commercial and civil litigation matters, working closely with colleagues across practice areas to deliver practical and strategic advice. The role encompasses property-related disputes and general commercial litigation, requiring both strong technical expertise and confident client engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling a mixed caseload of landlord and tenant disputes, land disputes (including easements, boundaries, and adverse possession), and possession claims
- Managing breach of contract, professional negligence, debt recovery, insolvency, and shareholder or partnership disputes
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements in line with the Civil Procedure Rules
- Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and hearings, and instructing Counsel as appropriate
- Conducting thorough legal research and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of case law and procedural developments
This is a hands-on role with scope to take the lead on matters, contribute to business development, and support junior team members through mentoring and collaboration.
About You
We’re looking for a skilled and commercially astute litigator who combines technical strength with a pragmatic, relationship-driven approach. You’ll be confident handling a varied caseload and enjoy working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
You will ideally have:
- Solid post-qualification experience in commercial, civil and/or property litigation
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and drafting skills
- Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to deliver practical, business-oriented advice
- A client-centric mindset and strong communication skills
- A collaborative working style, with a willingness to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team learning
- Commitment to compliance, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development
