Military Claims Chartered Legal Executive - Leeds - Leeds

Our client is seeking a Personal Injury Chartered Legal Executive to join their team in central Leeds, West Yorkshire. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working and the successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of military personal injury claims, contributing to a firm that champions an employee-first culture where staff are valued and rewarded in a way that reflects their commitment and contributions. Ideal Candidate

  • Around 2 to 6 years' experience handling personal injury matters, with specific experience in military claims.
  • Contentious experience handling claims against the Ministry of Defence and related schemes such as the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme and Armed Forces Pension Schemes.
  • Proven track record in high-value and complex litigation within County Courts, High Court, or Tribunal Services.
  • Experience working with service personnel and veterans, demonstrating an understanding of the sensitivities involved in military claims.
  • Strong business development skills and an ability to develop professional connections.
  • A genuine passion for helping those who have served, with the empathy and professionalism to support clients through challenging legal processes.

The Role

  • Managing a caseload of military personal injury claims from initial client instructions through to resolution and archiving.
  • Dealing with high-profile, politically sensitive cases involving defective equipment, training injuries, assaults, bullying, harassment, discrimination, noise-induced hearing loss, and other military claims.
  • Supporting other fee earners within the department and producing accurate legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Assisting clients with complex legal issues, always adhering to firm procedures.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the department’s casework and client relations.
