Defendant EL/PL Solicitor | Manchester | NQ-2 | Hybrid Working

As a Defendant EL/PL Solicitor, you will:
- Manage your own caseload of EL/PL fast and multi-track claims, with some disease claims and, where appropriate, fraud matters.
- Communicate with clients, insurers, opposing solicitors, and the courts.
- Provide clear legal advice and develop case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, conduct research and analyse liability.
- Negotiate settlements and progress matters through litigation.
- Meet KPIs, manage time recording and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with SRA requirements, court deadlines and quality standards.
- Support business development through articles, training and profile-raising activities.
What we are looking for:
- A Qualified Solicitor (Or CILEX with Litigation Rights) with NQ-2 years PQE.
- Solid experience of Employer’s and Public Liability claims.
- Strong knowledge of CPR and insurance litigation processes.
- Experience managing your own caseload and working to deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using case management systems and standard IT platforms.
- A client-focused mindset aligned with strong professional values.
- Experience advising local authorities and working with insurers is advantageous.
